If you need support, but it is not an emergency, there are a number of organisations that provide a 24-hour helpline service free of charge.

- Crisis Care – information and counselling service for family and domestic violence. Call: 1800 199 008
- Women’s Domestic Violence Helpline – provides support and counselling, as well as referrals to women’s refuges. Call: 1800 007 339
- Sexual Assault Resource Centre – free services to people affected by sexual violence. Call: 1800 199 888
- Lifeline – for people who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping or staying safe. Call: 13 11 14
- Beyond Blue – provides information and support to help everyone achieve their best possible mental health. Call 1300 22 4636
